ICD-10 Transition Deadline October 1, 2015
The deadline for transition from ICD-9 to ICD-10 medical codes is October 1, 2015. ICD-10 codes will provide more detail about services rendered—but will require substantial changes to files, software, systems and billing procedures.
QualChoice is working to make sure our systems and procedures meet implementation standards and deadlines without interrupting day-to-day business. To ensure this, we are performing vendor and provider testing. For more information about testing, contact: Mavis Jones, 501.228.7111, ext. 5280—firstname.lastname@example.org
What Providers Need To Do
If you haven't already done so, please begin preparing for the new ICD-10 code sets in your clinical and business operations. Contact your billing vendors, software vendors and clearinghouse to ask about their ICD-10 readiness.
